The Catholic University offers prayer, support and donations for the people impacted by the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

Continued prayers on the part of the community will be offered for the victims of the earthquake. 

  • Feb. 11-12, 2023: A petition for Turkey and Syria during weekend Masses
  • February 13, 2023: At 5:10 p.m. the University will host a Mass for the victims of the earthquake

Father of mercy,
we pray for the people of Turkey and Syria
following the recent earthquakes.
Grant rest to those have died,
and comfort to those who grieve.

We hold in our hearts, too, those who are injured,
and those who have lost loved ones, livelihoods, and homes.

Sustain and guide all responding to this disaster.
Grant those affected courage and resilience
as they rebuild their lives and communities.

Inspire us to unite in solidarity with the suffering,
and to act swiftly and generously,
so that help may reach all who need it.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
