Project Coordinator for Service & Justice
Elizabeth grew up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and attended the University of Scranton where she majored in exercise science and philosophy with a minor in biochemistry. Her plan was always to attend physician assistant school, but while attending a service fair senior year of college, she came across a volunteer program called the St. Joseph Worker Program and opted to travel to Los Angeles to do a year of service with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. There, she worked as a case manager for homeless individuals in Venice while living in community with four other women fresh out of college. As that program drew to an end, she knew she wanted to come back to the East Coast and help bring service opportunities to students, as she would not have learned as much about herself and her desire for faith if it were not for her own service experience.
She’s looking forward to working with students to bring service opportunities intertwined with faith to CUA!
