Chaplain for Graduate and Law Students
Fr Gilbert Andama, O.P. is a Dominican friar of the Province of St. Joseph and a native of Uganda. Growing up in a remote, predominantly Catholic village in Arua, Uganda, Fr. Andama aspired to become a priest. He joined the Dominican Order in 2010 and was ordained a priest on August 22, 2020, at the Dominican Parish of St. Catherine of Siena in Nairobi, Kenya.Fr. Andama studied Philosophy at Consolata International University and Theology at Tangaza University, both located in Nairobi, Kenya. He holds a diploma in French from Félix Houphouët-Boigny University in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. Currently, Fr. Andama is pursuing a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA).
