Chaplain for Graduate and Law Students

My name is Fr Andama Gilbert, a Dominican friar of the Province of St. Joseph and a native of Uganda. Growing up in a remote Catholic-dominated village in Arua, I always aspired to become a priest. An unwavering passion that persisted throughout my seminary formation until my priestly ordination. I joined the Dominican Order in 2010 and was ordained to the priesthood on August 22, 2020, at the Dominican Parish of St. Catherine of Siena in Nairobi.

I pursued my studies in Philosophy at Consolata International University, Theology at Tangaza University, both located in Nairobi. I hold a Diploma in French from Félix Houphouët-Boigny University, Abidjan. Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Development Studies at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA). I am passionate about being happy, personal fulfillment, and fostering meaningful connections with others.
