Chaplain for Graduate and Law Students
My name is Fr Andama Gilbert, a Dominican friar of the Province of St. Joseph and a native of Uganda. Growing up in a remote Catholic-dominated village in Arua, I always aspired to become a priest. An unwavering passion that persisted throughout my seminary formation until my priestly ordination. I joined the Dominican Order in 2010 and was ordained to the priesthood on August 22, 2020, at the Dominican Parish of St. Catherine of Siena in Nairobi.I pursued my studies in Philosophy at Consolata International University, Theology at Tangaza University, both located in Nairobi. I hold a Diploma in French from Félix Houphouët-Boigny University, Abidjan. Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Development Studies at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA). I am passionate about being happy, personal fulfillment, and fostering meaningful connections with others.
