Chaplain for Undergraduate Formation
A native of Michigan, Fr. Ceslaus was raised in Manistee, a small victorian town on the shore of Lake Michigan. He is the youngest of three children and the happy uncle of thirteen nieces and nephews. Before being ordained to the priesthood in 2020, he graduated from the Pontifical College Josephinum, earning a B.A. in Philosophy and the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), earning a S.T.B.
After being ordained, he spent time in parish ministry before beginning the S.T.L. program at the nearby Dominican House of Studies. In addition to his ministry at CUA, Fr. Ceslaus will work to complete his program of studies in which he has enjoyed seeking to integrate the writings of St. Thomas Aquinas with a “theology of the laity.”
