Chaplain for Undergraduate Formation

A native of Michigan, Fr. Ceslaus was raised in Manistee, a small Victorian town on the shore of Lake Michigan. He is the youngest of three children and the happy uncle of thirteen nieces and nephews.

Prior to priestly ordination in 2020, he graduated from the Pontifical College Josephinum, earning a B.A. in Philosophy, and the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), earning a S.T.B. Before arriving at Catholic University, Fr. Ceslaus worked in parish ministry and also began the S.T.L. program at the nearby Dominican House of Studies. In the spring of 2026, he completed his S.T.L., during which he sought to integrate select writings of St. Thomas Aquinas and the Second Vatican Council.

On campus, Fr. Ceslaus is passionate about helping our undergraduate students become the men and women God created them to be. In addition to his sacramental duties and preaching, Fr. Ceslaus oversees our Undergraduate Formation Team. This dedicated team of staff members serves the entire undergraduate population by providing several annual retreats, events aimed at forming community and helping students to grow both spiritually and humanly, as well as small groups and men’s and women’s ministry. This team is also responsible for overseeing an enthusiastic group of over 120 student leaders who assist to execute all of our undergraduate programming. The Undergraduate Formation team furthermore enjoys serving our student athletes through weekly programming and Bible studies.
