Kari Flynn was raised in Omaha, Nebraska, and graduated from the Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2002 with a degree in Theology. Shortly after graduation, she married her husband, Danny, and started their family life together in Maryland. While she stayed at home with her young children, for years she dedicated herself to her local parish’s faith formation programs and served on the Parents Association at St. Jerome Academy where her children currently attend.
In 2017, Kari and Danny became the youth ministers at Sacred Heart Parish in Bowie, Maryland for over 6 years. This experience led her to join The Catholic University of America in August 2023, serving as the Project Coordinator of Undergraduate Formation. Kari is the mother of 14 children and is expecting her 15th in June 2026. She finds joy in family hikes, visiting local parks with her kids, family rosary and smores around the bonfire on their patio, date nights with Danny, and reading both children’s literature to her kids or spiritual books for herself.
